yea...you are right...it seems they are not processing anything today..
Also i heard that on June 4 th approx 1100 485 apps was receipted. That makes it approx a total of 1800 for jun 1 and 4.

I think people are confused and think that pay stubs can be substituted for Employment letter. I don't see how that will be accepted. The 485 application ( See on page 4 1st para ) clearly states that they need a letter from employer stating that the job for which GC has been filed is still available and the salary will be paid as per the LC and 140. This is NOT current employment verification letter. Period. Its about future job. The job titles of H1B (current job) and GC (future job) can be different. Get out of the H1B transfer and extension mode.
If the letter from employer is part of initial evidence and you don't have it, your application might come back as per the memo release on Jun 16th.

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!
Now my FP is not done and I am current next month.
My company does only paper based filing for EAD. (Is e-filing costly?)
Will I not get any FP notice again?
I have tried calling TSC and no response after putting a SR. I tried dropping in at an ASC here and they didn't take my FP either..
Does paper based filing not trigger FP? Is it slower?
Hmm, urs is a unique case, but as far as i can tell u need to have FP done, that is the process, your lawyers may be able to help, have u contacted them?

would they still issue an EAD and AP even if your dates are not current(obviously the case was received by them and they issued you a case number)

I have copy of that letter but it mentions the title and salary no job desc.
Possibly, that's what you need. If you can get a similar letter (same title with same, or a bit more, salary) from your new employer it should work.
Did you ever get (or ask for) your I-140 filing? It should have a copy of the LC application, and job description.

- give a little back ground as to why we are starting this effort

Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...

Hey man. What a brave man you are. Rather then worrying about your self, you are actually concerned about your wife getting her green card. I commend you. I dont what I would have done, If I had been told this news.

how to use the spillover is purely an USCIS decision. Only to use the spillover to avoid wastage is a law, which is already in place. Infact USCIS was not doing this top down approach on spill over few years ago, this is a new practice they are following since last Fiscal Year, so I strongly believe if Congressmen/women puts pressure/more request it can be changed to a fair application of visa spillover to benefit all that are in the queue for a long wait.

out of 45K members let's assume 22.5 K are EB2 and 22.5 K are EB3.
Even If 11.25K (EB2)+11.25K (EB3) = 22.5 K (Total) contributes $25 Each Problems gets solved ... but the catch is ....
Even 11.25 K EB2 members are not contributing because they don't have to as their problem is solved

I do not understand why people spend their energy in coming up with some lame ideas. Just because you suffer does not mean that your fellows have to suffer, what is the point of being a sane individual with that kind of thought process.
There are people who come here on all kinds of visas F1, H1, L1 and like this country and stay back and need a green card for convenience. Students who came here want priority over people who came on H1B. It makes sense from their point of view.
Similarly people on H1B who got stuck in several stages and had to change the company have their own point of view.
How bout having a lame rule saying that GC for people with I.Q of 140 and above?

The list can go endless..
Worry less about who is cutting the line and getting ahead and please concentrate and put your energy and come up with good ideas and showing what we are really capable of..

Mine was filed on July 31 as per FEDEX tracking number was received by C. Houge....I am hoping to receive my RNs on the first week of September based on the rate as per USCIS Receipt Processing Notice....

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.
I hear you man. I am in exact same situation. I filed on June 29th inspite of having whole July. We will see what happens. Hope we will be fine!

Guys inorder for DOS or DHS or USCIS to get the message they will FIRST and FOREMOST have to understand WHO Gandhi is. For that we will have to attach a few pages of documentation about Mahatma Gandhi. By the time the message gets to the correct person's hands AND he/she understands the true meaning of the message, the person will think we insulted them, coz the the flowers will be dead and dried up and STINKY.
